Wynona (Nona) Byrd, 88, of Bluegrove, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta, Texas with Rev. Gregg Parr, pastor of the Vashti and Bellevue Methodist Church’s, officiating. Burial will be in the Bluegrove Cemetery in Bluegrove, Texas under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.
Mrs. Byrd was born on December 17, 1926 in Concho County, Texas to John Franklin and Lillie Rebecca (Hall) Blaylock. She married Jessie Lee Byrd on September 28, 1946 in Eden, Texas. Mrs. Byrd was a bookkeeper for JAC Electric Company for 45 years and was the church pianist and organist for the Bellevue Methodist and the Bluegrove Methodist Church’s. She sold eggs at the age of 9 years old to pay for her piano lessons. Mrs. Byrd was a member of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jess; four brothers, Willis, Raymond, Jim and Arley; one sister, Inez.
Survivors include daughter, Shirley Bradberry and husband Meredith of Byers, Texas; son, Jimmy Byrd and wife Jamie of Archer City, Texas; grandchildren,  Gary Butler and Shawn Butler, Zack Byrd, Conner Lee Byrd, JoAnn Greeff and Eugene Greeff, Kevin Bradberry and Christy Bradberry, Blythe Spalla, Tyler Esterline and Kristy Esterline; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Anna Andrews and Linda Perez.
The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:30PM – 8:00PM.
Memorials may be made to The Kitchen at 1000 Burnett St. Wichita Falls, Texas 76301.
