Edith “Edie” Pauline Freeman, 78, of Charlie, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

Graveside services will be at 3:00PM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Charlie Cemetery, in Charlie, Texas with Mr. Murl Nelms and Mr. Mike Priddy of Byers, Texas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

Mrs. Freeman was born on June 26, 1935 in Kellerville, Texas to Rolin and Lillian Higdon. She married Joe Bob Freeman on February 16, 1961 and was a member of the Petrolia Church of Christ. Mrs. Freeman owned and operated Freeman Grocery in Charlie for many years. She was known for her delicious hamburgers sold there. She took in many kids over the years to help raise. Mrs. Freeman gave all she had to everyone, she lived a selfless life.

Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, Rolin and Lillian Higdon, three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Bob Freeman; two sons, Michael Freeman and Mark Freeman; five grandchildren, Stephanie Kraning, Cristy Lindsey, Steven Freeman, Robbie Freeman and Rhiannon Freeman as well as her great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 6:00PM-7:00PM
